
This edition combined one Colombian orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil del Valle del Cauca (OSJVC), with the Italian Orchestra del Conservatorio de Trento and young musicians from the music academies in Eskisehir (Turkey), Miskolc (Hungary), Barcelona (Spain), and Vigo (Spain), to form a grand orchestra of one hundred twenty (120) players. The concert tour started in the Italian villages of Ferriere, Bettola, and Rottofreno, to continue in large cities such Piacenza, Cremona, Verona, Trento, Riva del Garda, Florence, Nola, and Rome. Then it progressed to Metz in Northeastern France – concert in the prestigious Arsenal Theatre – and to the Spanish capital, Madrid, with an appearance at the Sala Roja of the Teatros del Canal. The music performed included works by Enescu, Rimsky- Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Respighi, Gouvy, Dvorak, Brahms, A. Mejía, and L. Bermúdez. The conductors were M° Julián Lombana, Music Director of the Festival Orchestra, and guest conductor M° Sergio Bernal.
